Sea and Air Exhibition - Tokyo, 1930
The Sea and Air Exhibition held in Tokyo in 1930 showed Japan’s growing excitement about new technology, especially ships and airplanes. The event’s poster feels very different from the fun, decorative style of the 1920s. Instead, it looks more serious and modern, using clean shapes and an Art Deco style to show pride in Japan’s progress and industry during the early Showa era.
